Welcome back and join night (M-01 9/2)!
Welcome back to another year of scouts! We will have our first meeting of the 2026-2027 year this Wednesday 9/2 at 7-8pm at Mill Creek Elementary. This meeting will welcome any scouts visiting to potentially joining, new scouts joining the troop, and scouts returning! So plan to attend this meeting with your scout. Of particular note we will have:
- A brief court of honor to award merit badge earned by scouts attending summer camp, and
- A parents meeting for interested, new, and returning scout parents to outline the upcoming year of scouting and the transition to a family troop.

| 0:20–0:40 | Parents Meeting | SM presents 2026–2027 program year: meeting schedule (Wednesdays, 60 min), 5 overnight campouts, 3 courts of honor, advancement focus (Scout → T → 2C → 1C), rank timeline targets. Distribute printed program calendar. Q&A (5 min max). |
| 0:40–0:50 | New Scout Orientation | Leaders pulls new Scouts and families aside. Cover: handbook, patrol assignment, how advancement works. Distribute S-6a/6b child protection pamphlet — must be completed at home with parent before M2. |
