Troop 60 Takes on Outdoor Skills Academy
Three of our Troop 60 girls spent Saturday at Outdoor Skills Academy or OSA with other Troops from Mid Missouri
The morning started at Painted Rock Conservation Area along the Osage River, where the Scouts rolled up their sleeves for a hands-on conservation project. There was mud, shoreline exploring, wildlife discoveries, and plenty of learning by doing.

Then it was on to merit badges.
One Scout finished her Soil and Water Conservation Merit Badge, while the other two made solid progress toward Environmental Science and Soil and Water Conservation.
So yes — there were maps, soil samples, science, questions, note-taking, and all the good Scout stuff.

And after all that work?
Lake time.

Because nothing says “productive Scout day” quite like spending the morning doing conservation work, the afternoon knocking out merit badge requirements, and the evening jumping in the water.
We’re proud of all three Scouts for showing up, getting involved, and making the most of the day.
Pretty great Saturday!
